GROUP OBEDIENCE CLASSES

Obedience training is an interactive and fun experience for you and your dog. Our group classes teach you how to communicate with your four-legged friend and teach you dog what you expect from them. As a result, you and your dog will develop a close bond which leads to a happier and more rewarding relationship. It is wonderfully satisfying to watch your dog develop manners and confidence while becoming a reliable and pleasant companion. Classes are held once a week, on the same day and time, and new class sessions start monthly.

PUPPY KINDERGARTEN…… 6-week course …… $120.00

These off-leash classes are for puppies between 12 and 22 weeks of age. The primary goal of Puppy Kindergarten is proper socialization to other people, children, new environments and other dogs to facilitate your puppy’s development into a well-adjusted, confident and manageable adult dog. Taught with 100% positive reinforcement, our classes advocate simple, effective and, above all, enjoyable methods that all family members can master. They are offered at the beginning stage of your puppy’s life, emphasizing the prevention of common behavior problems, such as jumping and biting, by teaching good manners. Your puppy will also learn basic obedience such as Sit, Down and Come.

BASIC OBEDIENCE…… 8-week course …… $160.00

Recommended for every pet, 4 months of age and up, no previous training is needed for Beginner Obedience. These are enjoyable classes that will teach you to communicate with your dog. Obedience skills include hand signals and voice commands for Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, and Come.

INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE…… 6-week course …… $120.00

Open to dogs of any age that have completed the beginner class, Intermediate Obedience concentrates on increasing duration, distance and distractions while dogs maintain designated positions such as Sit or Down. In addition, this class will teach Back-Up, Fronts & Fin­ishes, off-leash Heeling and off-leash basic commands.

ADVANCED OBEDIENCE…… 6-week course …… $120.00

Following completion of the intermediate level, Advanced Obedience classes are taught completely off-leash. Behaviors learned in previous levels will be strengthened and practiced with high distractions to en­sure reliability in any and all situations. Also included is a brief segment of Agility.
